Allure Magazine interviews Dr. Devgan on her thoughts about “How Cosmetic Doctors Are Approaching Injectables in a World That Calls for Masks”

Allure Magazine consults with Dr. Devgan, New York City-based board-certified plastic surgeon, on her thoughts about how the world of cosmetic surgery and injections will be different after the spread of COVID-19. What many people do not realize is how plastic surgeon’s protocols will now be drastically different than how they were before.

So long are the days where patients at any office are able to enter the office freely and wait among other patients until their name was called. Protocols these days are much more than just a confirmation call. In order to be cleared to come in for an appointment, patients must now arrive at the time of the appointment to avoid time spent in the waiting room, sign all consents and documentation prior to arrival, as well as use hand sanitizer and wear a protective mask at all times. While some believe that injecting in only the upper one third of the face, the area not covered by a mask, is not beneficial, Dr. Devgan believes that there is “value in addressing the face one area at a time.” That being said, this is not stopping Dr. Devgan from performing injectable filler on any area of the face. Her approach? Dr. Devgan is considering having patients wear a large face shield so that she can comfortably inject on any part of the face without risking contamination. Even so, whether you are being injected on your forehead or your nose, any practitioner is still standing the same distance away.

The most important thing to remember is that while plastic surgeons are now open and available to see patients, your health is the most important factor and should be taken into consideration before making an appointment, especially if you are at high risk. If you are healthy and would like some more information about making an appointment, please email Office@LaraDevganMD.com or call (212)-452-2400 so we can help set one up. Platinum Long Lash is one beauty product F-Factor founder, Tanya Zuckerbrot, cannot live without

Tanya Zuckerbrot, founder of F-Factor, was recently interviewed by totalbeauty and listed the Platinum Long Lash as one of her top five beauty products she cannot live without. For those who do not know, the Platinum Long Lash serum is one of our top-selling products that helps enhance the length, strength, and density of eyelashes and eyebrows.

What makes the Platinum Long Lash serum unique is that is clean, all-natural, and contains all over-the-counter ingredients to help enhance eyelashes and eyebrows. So long are the days of spending countless dollars on lash extensions and filling in your eyebrows when you have Platinum Long Lash. Tanya loves it because “she uses it to keep her lashes long and thick and boost brow growth. It's easy to use, just need to apply a small amount to the base of clean lashes or right on brows once or twice a day." If you apply it in the morning, you can do so before using mascara, just make sure it is dry before applying your mascara. When you apply it at night, you should do so on clean, dry skin.

If you are a loyal Sephora shopper, you can now purchase this product online at Sephora.com! In addition to the Platinum Long Lash, a selection of some of the Dr. Lara Devgan Scientific Beauty skincare products are also available online at Sephora. Platinum Long Lash is a must-have product for celebrity facialist, Georgia Louise

Violet Grey, the ultimate online destination for a highly curated selection of the best luxury beauty products, recently interviewed Georgia Louise for their segment “Shop Her Bag”, and one of her must-have beauty products is the Platinum Long Lash. This serum is one of our top-selling products that helps enhance the length, strength, and density of eyelashes and eyebrows.

If you are looking for a way to enhance your eyelashes and eyebrows without spending money on lash extensions, the Platinum Long Lash serum is the way to go. We love it because it contains all-natural ingredients that will not change the color of your skin or eyes. It requires a little bit of patience, but it's worth the wait! We advise users to take an image of their eyes closed in good lighting before using the serum, and then follow up with the same photo every 2 months to keep track of progression! Full results are typically achieved after 5-6 months of consistent use. You can apply the Platinum Long Lash once in the morning before mascara and in the evening before bed, or just once a day.

The Platinum Long Lash serum is just one of our five products that just launched online at Sephora. We are extremely excited about this partnership with Sephora and hope that it only continues to grow. If you want to read more about Violet Grey and see the full list of products, click here. Dr. Devgan is featured in the May issue of the bi-annual HODINKEE Magazine

HODINKEE is a vibrant, mulit-media and e-commerce platform and the world's leading publication for all things watches. Once voted as one of TIME’s best websites in 2013, this publication publishes a bi-annual, highly-distinguished magazine, which Dr. Devgan modeled for this past spring.

Since Dr. Devgan is an expert in the medical field, it came to a bit of a surprise when one of the editor’s of HODINKEE reached out about featuring Dr. Devgan in the May issue of the magazine. Later she explained how “the concept of this shoot surrounds real women in NYC who are killing it in their respective fields wearing beautiful watches.” There is no doubt that Dr. Devgan is doing exactly so. Not only is she a board-certified plastic surgeon, but she is the founder of Dr. Lara Devgan Scientific Beauty, and mother of six. This photoshoot was so exciting for Dr. Devgan as it took place in SoHo, Manhattan and involved a professional photographer, hair stylist, makeup artist, and wardrobe stylist.

If you would like to read more about HODINKEE and the magazine, click here. The print issue will be available in the coming weeks and the digital issue is available June 1st. This opportunity was very exciting for Dr. Devgan and she so excited to share it with her patients and followers. The Daily Front Row include Vitamin C+B+E Ferulic Serum in the Top 8 Vitamin C Serums to incorporate into your skincare routine

The Daily Front Row, your online destination for all things fashion and beauty, listed Dr. Devgan’s Vitamin C+B+E Ferulic Serum as one of the top serums to add to your skincare routine. Dr. Devgan is the founder of Dr. Lara Devgan Scientific Beauty, which is a clean, luxury medical-grade skincare collection.

According to Dr. Devgan, “Vitamin C is one of the most important and yet most frequently overlooked parts of an ideal skin care regimen.” This power-packed ingredient is crucial and does wonders for the skin. Further, “vitamin C works mechanistically as a powerful antioxidant that scavenges free radical damage caused by UVA and UVB radiation and blue light from our electronics.” That being said, since we are all working from home and on our computers and phones every minute, a Vitamin C serum would be great to add to your routine. Not only does it help with damage caused by UVA, UVB, and blue light radiation, but it also works to “fade hyperpigmentation, melasma, brown spots, improves the texture of the skin, and reduces the visibility of fine lines.”

Dr. Devgan’s Vitamin C+B+E Ferulic Serum contains  high concentrations of Vitamin C, Vitamin E, Vitamin B derivatives, Ferulic Acid, and Acetyl Octapeptide. All of these ingredients combined work together to give you a fantastic result. We recommend that you apply the serum at night, after you’ve washed your face and before applying any retinol or moisturizers. If you have any questions about skincare or would like to know if this product is right for you, feel free to email Beauty@LaraDevganMD.com. To read the article, click here.

Refinery29 consults with Dr. Devgan on how COVID-19 Will Change the Cosmetic Dermatology & Plastic Surgery world

The world as we know it has changed drastically since the spread of COVID-19. School is now online, employees are working from home, and restaurants and stores are offering curbside pick up to customers. What else is different? The world of cosmetic dermatology and plastic surgery. Refinery29 reporter, Lexy Lebsack, chats with Dr. Devgan, New York City-based, board-certified plastic surgeon, about how COVID-19 will affect cosmetic surgery.

According to Dr. Devgan, “Coronavirus has affected every aspect of [her] practice and the entire fabric of our community.” In order to survive, the cosmetic dermatology and plastic surgery world is learning to quickly adapt to these changes in order to cater to everyone’s needs. Dr. Devgan predicts that a more natural look will be popular. Since we are spending more time at home, everyone is “becoming acquainted with what we actually look like”, so so-long are the days of overfilled lips and cheeks. Dr. Devgan explains how she believes that patients will be focusing more on balance over size for features like lips, breasts, and buttocks. Additionally, Dr. Devgan believes that she will see more people asking for minimally-invasive injectables rather than complex surgeries. Elective surgeries will be able to resume once the virus is controlled, however even so, it may be awhile until people feel comfortable with surgical protocols.

While these complications may shift trends, Dr. Devgan mentions how demand will never fully fade. We will still have patients who desire both injectables and surgery, and when the time is right, Dr. Devgan will be able to do so. We are currently holding a waitlist for patients, both new and existing, who with to be contacted once we officially reopen. If you would like to be added, please email Office@LaraDevganMD.com with your full name and phone number. For the time being, Dr. Devgan is offering virtual consultations!
