She states that credible plastic surgeons assess their patients needs and desires, remaining wary of those who show "red flags and warning signs that indicate a mismatch between expectations and reality."

In her practice, Dr. Devgan assists patients with a healthy self-image interested in promoting the best version of themselves. The number of cosmetic procedures women have undergone has increased by 538% since 1997 according to a study done by the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery.

4 Tips For Doing Your Makeup In The Summer Heat

In the peak summer months, temperatures rise to triple digits and it can be downright impossible to look put together in the sweltering heat. With the sun beating down all day long, your skin suffers from UV exposure, dryness, and redness, not to mention enough sweat to melt your makeup off.

The key to beating the summer heat and having healthy, glowing summer skin is having a good base for your makeup.

  1. Exfoliate: The blistering summer heat can leave your skin dry and flaky. Cure your skin of dullness by gently removing the top layer of dry skin skin cells. Use Platinum Microdermabrasion to exfoliate and leave your skin looking dewy and bright.
  2. Minimal Makeup: Avoid layering on thick products to prevent clogging your pores and your face looking oily, sweaty, and smudged. A good substitute for foundation is tinted sunscreen. Platinum SPF 45 Daily Tinted BB Cream gives you sun protection while streamlining your morning beauty routine. This product is perfect for the heat. With its non-greasy formula and sheer tint it provides just the right amount of coverage and evens out your complexion without overwhelming your pores.
  3. Hydrate: The summer heat can be dehydrating in more ways than one. Drink lots of water and don’t forget to keep your skin and lips quenched as well. Use products that maximize water absorption and retention to combat dry, flaky skin. A few drops of Platinum Hyaluronic Serum nourish the skin and render it moisturized and smooth. The key ingredient, hyaluronic acid, can hold 1,000 times its weight in water and when applied restores elasticity and moisture to skin. For chapped lips, try Platinum Lip Plump which also utilizes hyaluronic acid to plump and hydrate lips in addition to enhancing their natural color and increasing their fullness.
  4. SPF: Even if you forego makeup in this heat, sunscreen is still essential. Platinum Sun Shield contains Titanium Dioxide and Zinc Oxide which act as physical barriers to sun light, protecting skin from UV rays and preventing future wrinkles and skin damage. Its lightweight, water resistant formula makes it ideal for hot, sunny days.
