A mastopexy, commonly known as a breast lift, is a surgical procedure designed to raise and reshape sagging breasts by removing excess skin and tightening the surrounding tissue. Often performed to restore a more youthful and uplifted breast contour, mastopexy can also reposition the nipple and areola to a more natural, forward-facing position. While it does not significantly change breast size, the procedure can be combined with augmentation or reduction for patients seeking changes in volume. Ideal candidates are those experiencing ptosis (drooping) due to aging, weight loss, pregnancy, or breastfeeding. With proper technique, a breast lift can achieve natural-looking, long-lasting results that enhance both body proportion and confidence.
