EYELID SURGERY (BLEPHAROPLASTY)
The eyes are one of the most expressive features of the face. Blepharoplasty is designed to rejuvenate the eyelids by addressing excess skin, volume changes, and structural aging while preserving natural individuality.
Depending on the specific needs of the patient, and upper and/or lower blepharoplasty may be performed:
-
Upper blepharoplasty addresses excess upper eyelid skin and, when appropriate, localized fat or muscle. It can improve heaviness around the eyes while preserving the natural shape of the eyelid crease.
-
Lower blepharoplasty treats under-eye bags, skin laxity, and irregularity at the lower eyelid-cheek junction. Depending on anatomy, the procedure may involve fat preservation, fat repositioning, conservative fat removal, skin treatment, or support of the lower eyelid.
