Platinum Lip Plump SPF 30 is one of the Who What Wear beauty obsessions

Who What Wear, an online blog for the latest in celebrity fashion, trends, and beauty, recently posted an article highlighting the editor's best new beauty obsessions. It comes to no surprise that the Dr. Lara Devgan Scientific Beauty Platinum Lip Plump SPF 30 made the cut. This take on our original Platinum Lip Plump is just as good and includes SPF 30--perfect for your summer.

Erin Jahns, beauty editor for Who Wear What, chose the Platinum Lip Plump SPF 30 because the perfect lip plumper is her one of her desert-island beauty products. In her own words, she "officially met the lip plump of all lip plumpers." With just one, simple swipe on the lips, "it's the most effective and fast-working lip-plumping elixir [she] has ever tried." What makes the Platinum Lip Plump different from others on the market? Our formula includes niacin, mixed-molecular weight hyaluronic acid, and ceramides, which together give the lips just the right amount of shininess and plumpness.

For best results, we advise that you apply the gloss on clean, dry lips. Be careful to stay inside the lip lines as if some gets on your skin the niacin will cause minor flushing to the area. If this happens, it is no worry and warm water with soap will help. You can also apply the Platinum Lip Plump over top of your favorite shade of lipstick! To read the entire article, click here. Glamour interviews Dr. Devgan about "the rise of 'tweakments'"

Glamour magazine, the main online source for all things fashion and beauty, featured an article interviewing Dr. Devgan about the rise of a trend called ‘tweakments,’ in which writer Deanna Pai explores the meaning of the term.

With the popularity of Instagram and the increased visibility of Instagram ‘influencers,’ cosmetic surgery took off. The social media trend for cosmetic surgery was big and dramatic, with large volume in the lips and more noticeable changes to the face. The dramatic Instagram trend is now losing popularity though, while the more subtle ‘tweakment,’ is gaining traction.

Dr. Devgan says, “A tweakment is not different from an injectables treatment per se, but I think of it as a minimal refinement to your existing anatomy,. It’s designed to be a subtle improvement rather than a major change.”

As we move away from Instagram trends, “most people want to feel like the best version of themselves, rather than look like someone else,” says Dr. Devgan. “This is the essence of tiny tweakments: They allow us to preserve the feeling of facial identity while optimizing global facial beauty.”

People are less interested in the “frozen” look that comes to mind when people think of botox, instead opting for more natural injections that provide a refreshed and a “did you get an extra hour of sleep?” illusion.

“If you appreciate the paradoxical notion of wanting to look the same but better, or the idea of a subtle change that you’ll see but others won’t notice, then you may be a good candidate for a tweakment,” Dr. Devgan is quoted as saying.

“A tweakment can address anything where millimeters matter—asymmetry of your eyebrows, unwanted fine lines around your eyes, a bump on your nose, thinning of your lips, dull skin quality, or even a combination of all of those things,” Devgan says. The key is addressing these things on a micro scale, with small changes that add up to a more youthful appearance without any single part attracting attention,” says Dr. Devgan.

Sold out on Sephora: Platinum Lip Plump SPF 30

Stylecaster, your online source for the latest fashion trend reports, shopping guides and celebrity style news, highlights Dr. Devgan’s Platinum Lip Plump SPF 30. Elizabeth Denton, Stylecaster contributor, has been a fan of lip plump since high school, however when one flew off the shelves of Sephora instantaneously, she knew she had to try it for herself.

What makes the Platinum Lip Plump different from leading lip plumps? The formula is all-natural and the plumping agent is niacin (vitamin B3). Instead of using harsh ingredients like cinnamon, menthol, or capsacin that commonly irritate one’s lips, niacin gently vasodilates the lip tissue, turning them a pink shade and increasing the size. Not only does the Platinum Lip Plump plump, hydrate, and gloss one’s lips, but the new version for summer—Platinum Lip Plump SPF 30— also protects your lips as well.

To use this product, apply a generous coat to the lips, making sure to stay inside the lip line. It causes a temporary mild tingling sensation to the lips. If it comes in contact with the skin, it will cause a harmless mild flushing (due to the niacin); you may wipe the product clean with water. Elizabeth has longed for lip filler since using the Platinum Lip Plump, but will continue to apply the gloss whenever she wants “a little boost.” You can purchase the Platinum Lip Plump SPF 30 here.
