The Upside to an Upturned Nose (Non-Surgical Rhinoplasty with GabsGetGnarly)

Non-Surgical Rhinoplasty has surely become one of the most sought after procedures in Dr. Devgan’s office. Often the office is asked about downtime, well there is none or it is negligible. The concept is immediately intriguing to anyone who wishes to have something changed about their nose.

We were thrilled that we can share Gabs Dormio’s experience with everyone from start to finish. Gabs, a travel blogger and commonly known for her GabsGetGnarly page on Instagram, was such a joy to have in our office again and we could not be more pleased that she loved her results.

For those of you who wonder what some reasons are for non-surgical as opposed to surgical, there are a few. For Gabs, it was all about how she wanted a more refined look and to try out what her nose would look like before even considering surgical. For others, the downtime for surgical rhinoplasty, which consists of a few days off work, a few weeks off exercise, bruising, and swelling, is not an option. This is why using a viscous filler to create your perfect look is an excellent choice for a lot of patients.

There is some qualities to remember about non-surgical, the results last 1-2 years before your body will have naturally dissolved the filler. Thus, if you enjoy the look of your nose prior to injection, you will need to have the non-surgical rhinoplasty more frequently. It was also commented that in one of Gabs photos, the “hanging columella from the lateral aspect” was more prominent than before. This is true, especially for those who would like a more upturned nose and would certainly be something to consider surgical rhinoplasty for eventually. However, it is hardly noticeable, if you follow Gabs on social media or see her in person, to anyone without a trained eye.

Each patient has their own desires. That is why Dr. Devgan does a magnificent job of listening to each patient thoroughly and deciding the ultimate procedure alongside them, rather than for them.

BRA Day; Tea and Talk with Dr. Devgan

BRA DAY TEA PARTY & OPEN HOUSE WITH DR. DEVGAN

WEDNESDAY, OCT 18, 2017

12-5pm

October has become synonymous with a few traditions, including Breast Cancer Awareness Month. A month that used to be primarily associated with Halloween is now filled with football players parading on the field in pink cleats, gloves, and, occasionally, full uniforms. Bloomingdales is decorated with dancing, pink mannequins with fashionable accessories. Along with décor and stylish pink clothing, is that media makes breast cancer a spotlight topic to keep people informed.

The topic of breast cancer is vitally important. Breast cancer prevention and early detection has risen significantly since the early 2000s and the hope is to continue that upward trend. A discussion that is less common is, “What happens after diagnosis?”

There are a variety of options given to patients and at times, more severe forms of breast cancer require extreme lengths, such as the many forms of mastectomy. This can leave patients with self-image issues and unsure how to proceed.

Our office is proud to shine a light on Breast Reconstruction Awareness (BRA) Day. On October 18th of each year, The American Society of Plastic Surgeons and The Plastic Surgery Foundation join forces to help inform women of their options and celebrate women who have found their answers.

Beauty and The Botox

Prevention is better than intervention.

Dr. Devgan utilizes this tactic with many of her patients and certainly recommends to always use preemptive measures. Kylee Campbell, the LA and NYC based actress, model, and Catch Me Dancing blogger, was interested in Botox for prevention measures during her recent visit to the office.

Botox, a drug developed from botulinum toxin (a bacterial byproduct), has been FDA approved since 1989. Since then, it has been utilized for a myriad of ailments (including gummy smile, eyebrow arch displacement, downturned mouth, etc.). Botox is most commonly discussed for its use in aesthetic-based medicine as it is known for the ability to decrease signs of aging, such as wrinkles, and, lately, is more commonly being employed as a preventative measure for younger men and women.

Although many know Botox from the dreaded “freeze face”, which is an issue of placement and/or amount by the injector, the product can help those who are younger avoid deep lines and wrinkles from prolonged squinting, furrowing of the face, or aging. Dr. Devgan uses her micro-droplet technique, coined “Baby Botox”, for the youthful. The micro-droplet technique combined with a vibration beauty bar allows for a considerable comfort and precise placement of the product.

In order to get optimal results, Dr. Devgan, before even touching the syringe, has a casual conversation while also analyzing facial expression and feature patterns. Alongside her facial anatomy expertise, these moments allow her to evaluate where the best placement of Botox will be and at approximately what amount. Lastly, Dr. Devgan marks areas of concern with white pen to ensure the proper treatment.

In Kylee’s situation, she started to see results in the typical 4-7 day range. Her results will most likely last 3-4 months. Although Kylee is absolutely beautiful, she knows it is best to start washing away wrinkles now rather than trying to fix furrows later.

The Know on Triple Glow with Kelly Karloff

We were so excited to see model Kelly Karloff in our office again to pick up her Platinum Triple Glow Anti-Aging Night Treatment!

Kelly has been utilizing Dr. Devgan's Platinum Triple Glow to correct for some of her personal skincare issues, which she discusses in the latest YouTube video.

Men and women from across the world have damage from sun exposure or, more commonly for women, hormonal changes. Platinum Triple Glow is an amazing anti-again product, which makes evens skin tone and diminishes normal signs of again, such as wrinkles and deep creases.

The Platinum Triple Glow is prescription strength, which means Dr. Devgan must personally evaluate whether or not each person is a good candidate. If ordering online, there is a questionnaire about your personal skincare issues.

To start Platinum Triple Glow it is recommended that each patient begins by applying the product every other day or as Directed by Dr. Devgan. This allows the skin to become accustomed to the formulation of the product. Gradually, once a night use is recommended.

Always remember to wait for 30 minutes after washing your face with cleanser (per se, the Platinum Revitalizing Cleanser) before applying the Platinum Triple Glow. Stay in touch with the blog and YouTube for new tutorial videos coming soon!
