Platinum Lip Plump wins Harper's Bazaar Anti-Aging Award

Harper’s Bazaar recently released the 2020 Anti-Aging Award winners and it comes to no surprise that the Platinum Lip Plump won in the makeup category for the Best Instant Lip Plumper. Aside from Harper’s Bazaar, the Platinum Lip Plump has been featured across Vogue, InStyle, Glamour, Allure, and more. This product is one of our best-sellers and will soon be available online at Sephora.

Within the makeup category is what Harper’s Bazaar claims to be “the best foolproof foundations, creaseless concealer, and color cosmetics that deliver instant anti-aging results.” Loss of volume is common as we get older, so the Platinum Lip Plump is a great way to add voluptuous volume without any filler. Not only does it add visible volumization, but it will also naturally tint your lips and keep them hydrated and nourished. Right after applying, you will feel a light tingle followed by plump lips 1-3 minutes after the initial application. What many people do not know is that once your lips are plump, they will stay plump for 1-2 hours and you can even apply your favorite shade of lipstick right on top! What causes the plumping you may wonder? Niacin, which is a form of vitamin B3, and is what safely and gently vasodilates the lip tissue.

According to Harper’s Bazaar, the Platinum Lip Plump is the “Best Instant Lip Plumper.” Further, “the next best thing to an actual lip injection appointment with prominent plastic surgeon Lara Devgan is a bottle of her Platinum Lip Plump. Swipe it on to noticeably boost your lip volume for a few hours. It also hydrates and nourishes like a luxury lip balm, so you can go ahead and apply your favorite lipstick right on top.” Don’t believe us? Try it for yourself! If you have always wanted more voluminous lips but do not want to spend the money for filler or wish to get injections, the Platinum Lip Plump is a great alternative. To purchase, click here. Spotlight interview with Jasmine Caccamo

1. How has the coronavirus affected your life? How has it affected the lives of your family and friends?

A lot of my work is done from home, but now my husband has set up a home office, and I've been homeschooling my son. I'm not going to lie, it isn't easy having them home ALL OF THE TIME, but normally we wouldn't be able to ever spend this time together between work and extracurricular activities that everyone has going on. My family has been fortunate enough to be healthy and safe during this time - however, my cousin is on the front lines battling COVID -19 at NYU Withrop, so we send out positive vibes daily that she stays safe, while thanking her for her heroism.

2. How are you staying calm and sane during your quarantine?

We are lucky to have a house on Long Island, near the ocean with a backyard, so being able to get outside for walks and fresh air has really been helpful in creating a soothing and calming mind set, along with working out and infusing meditation when I can. It hasn't been easy, but setting up a schedule for each of us has been super helpful in keeping some sort of sanity to our days.

3. How has COVID-19 affected your job?

As a celebrity stylist who relies on events to keep my business running, it's been hard. Everything from press tours to the MET Gala have been cancelled for the foreseeable future, so there is no work to be had. However, I'm constantly brainstorming creative ways to keep my fashion juices flowing; whether it be virtually detoxing my clients closets, to developing relationships for future partnerships and projects with new brands.

4. How do you enjoy spending your time while in quarantine?

I've always slacked in the "Self - Care" department, so I've been really conscientious about creating a routine, especially doing masks once a week. I'm completely obsessed with Devgan Scientific Beauty's Kinetic Mask. I've been seeing Dr. Devgan for about a year now, just to keep my skin in check - and really have become a committed fan to her products over the last month and half of being in quarantine.

5. How are you staying positive and hopeful for the future?

There were many special events we had to postpone because of the pandemic; my son's 7th birthday party, our family trip to Kenya, milestone birthdays and events..but those are all things we know will be, and have rescheduled and give us something to look forward to and be excited about in the future. I always say, "this too shall pass."

Fun Facts:

3 things getting that changed your life this week
1. Devgan Scientific Beauty Lash Boost (I literally have no eyelashes from getting extensions for the last 7 years, so excited to see my results)
2. My new cozy UGG "fuzette" slippers
3. "Fight Camp" at home boxing workouts
First place you're going after quarantine: Getting my eyebrows done!
I'm binge watching: Ozark
I'm reading: I finished "The Time Keeper" by Mitch Albom - so whatever @jennablackwell's book reviews tells me to read next!
I'm cooking: Hello Fresh - they truly have been a lifesaver in all of this
I'm trying to: Mediate more

Health Magazine talks to Dr. Devgan about the recent rash associated with COVID-19

Health Magazine talks to Dr. Devgan, New York-based board-certified plastic surgeon, about the correlation between a unique skin rash and COVID-19. With the recent spread of coronavirus across the United States, and New York City being the epicenter, there is much information that is being debuted every day that includes connections to the coronavirus.

What is truly amazing, as Dr. Devgan explains, is how “social media has allowed rapid and global information sharing among physicians in the fight against COVID-19. It is truly amazing how my colleagues from all over the world have come together to share treatment protocols, patient experiences, areas for improvement, and strategies for management to benefit all our communities.” As described in Health Magazine, one finding is by Randy Jacobs, MD, a California-based dermatologist. Jacobs has found that a mild rash, often referred to as transient livedo reticularis, is associated to people who have tested positive for COVID-19. This is interesting because Dr. Devgan explains how not all patients present “classic” textbook symptoms. Before this finding, someone could have a rash but not associate it with having coronavirus, but now thanks to social media, medical professionals are able to share their findings to help the greater good.

If you find yourself having fever-like symptoms or any abnormal skin rashes, it would be best to consult your doctor for help. If you must be in public, it is best to be at least six feet away from all other people and to wear protective gear, like a face mask. It is up to all of us to flatten the curve.
