DR. DEVGAN DISCUSSES THE MEGHAN MARKLE OBSESSION IN INSTYLE ARTICLE

Duchess Meghan Markle has become the inspiration behind many women’s cosmetic procedures, according to a new InStyle article.

Dr. Devgan notes that Markle’s mixed racial background allows her to appeal to a wider population: “She represents the broadening of widespread cultural beauty standards that I think can make a lot more people feel at home in the world.”

Public fascination with Markle has reached a peak with the royal wedding in May and her recently announced pregnancy, and plastic surgeons now regularly see patients who want to replicate Markle’s most covetable features, most notably her nose, cheekbones, lips, and flawless skin.

Dr. Devgan explains in the article how her gold micro-infusion facial can help achieve Markle’s glowy, youthful skin, while filler treatments in the cheekbones and jawline can mimic Markle’s bone structure.

DR. DEVGAN WEIGHS IN ON NEW U.K. AESTHETICS INTEREST SURVEY

In a recent press release, Dr. Devgan explains results from the new RealSelf UK Aesthetics Interest Survey, which revealed that 40 percent of UK adults are considering surgical or nonsurgical treatment in the next 12 months.

The UK’s interest in aesthetic treatment is largely driven by millennials, with nearly two-thirds of adults aged 18-34 considering nonsurgical procedures and almost half considering surgical treatment in the next year.

“Younger generations are a key force behind the U.K.'s growing interest in cosmetic procedures, due in large part to the new technologies and treatment options that have made aesthetic treatments accessible to a wider audience,” says Dr. Devgan.

DR. DEVGAN FEATURED IN HARPERS BAZAAR VIDEO SERIES

The latest episode of Harpers Bazaar’s video series, The Plastics, featured Dr. Devgan and one of her patients, who desired subtle improvement in the symmetry of her eyelids.

The video shows Dr. Devgan performing a blepharoplasty (also known as eyelid surgery or eyelid lift) on this patient. It covers the entire process of patient treatment, including the consultation, the surgery itself, and the results.
