Dr. Devgan Co-Hosts Fabulous Event with Merz Aesthetics

Yesterday evening, Dr. Devgan co-hosted an event with Merz Aesthetics. The VIP Press event included the well-known publications Cosmopolitan, Teen Vogue, Huffington Post, Star Magazine, OK Magazine, Thrillist, and New Beauty.

There were also amazing influencers who joined for the event. The attendance list included Chinae Alexander of Get Fit Brooklyn, Jera Foster-Fell of Jera.Bean, Soo Kang of Brown Eyed Toast, Tammy Lakatos Shames and Lyssie Lakatos of The Nutrition Twins, and many more. One of the magnificent influencers who stopped by was the gorgeous Kimmy Huynh of FABULUSH. Kimmy shared her before and after photos in which Dr. Devgan used Belotero for her lips. Xeomin, Radiasse, and Belotero, all Merz Aesthetics products, were featured and utilized during the event. Each product is specially designed to treat a variety of ailments that countless women face. Platinum Hyaluronic Serum featured in Allure Magazine Best of Beauty Issue

Dr. Devgan was recently featured in Allure magazine’s Best of Beauty 2017 edition featuring Kim Kardashian! Each year Allure creates an edition with, typically, 250-300 beauty products in hair, skin, and makeup. To be listed in Allure for the Best of Beauty edition is an honor.

Platinum Hyaluronic Serum was the featured product from Dr. Devgan’s Scientific Beauty skincare line and included in the products “You Want Now”. In the the most recent “regram” about this product, the person stated it made their skin feel “plush and hydrated”. Our Signature Microneedling+PRP Treatment Featured on the Free People Blog

Free People’s blog, BLDG 25, is the latest in string of news to praise Dr. Devgan’s techniques in plastic surgery. Brigette Muller, a freelance Free People Contributor, came to the office for a micro-needling with platelet-rich-plasma (PRP) treatment (see the video directly below or our full blog post at http://laradevganmd.com/blog/2017/9/20/crafting-clear-complexion-dr-devgan-performs-microneedlingprpv) and a one-on-one interview with Dr. Devgan to answer more in-depth questions regarding micro-needling.

There a few things to remember when considering collagen induction therapy (aka micro-needling). Micro-needling can be done with or without platelet rich plasma (PRP). Micro-needling alone has been known to develop collagen and elastin successfully, which in turn allows for damage to skin, such as acne scarring, wrinkles, fine lines, and hyperpigmentation, to be corrected over time. Micro-needling treatments are typically needed more than once as each individual patient has a different skin type along with differences in their desired results.

The next, logical question for most patients is usually, “What is the purpose of the PRP then?” Well, there is a multi-facet reasoning. Platelet rich plasma, typically, enhances your results significantly as it, in a sort, provides nutrients to the skin to heal and stimulate growth. PRP can help reduce the overall redness too and patients tend to see results more quickly and better than if just doing micro-needling alone.

Something we were excited Brigette discussed on the Free People blog and her Youtube channel video was that the process is fairly painless. There are many questions and concerns, especially for those frightened of needles about the use of a Dermapen. The dermapen needles only prior to adding a numbing lidocaine cream. This keeps patients from feeling the needles for the most part, except, perhaps the “bonier areas” as Bridgette Muller put it.

Introducing Art of Surgery Series: Breast Augmentation

Breast augmentation, commonly referred to as a “boob job” or breast implant surgery, is one of Dr. Devgan’s favorite procedures. In Dr. Devgan's skilled hands, the surgery may last approximately 30 minutes in total through the use of her signature no-touch rapid recovery technique. Although a shortened procedure in Dr. Devgan’s hands, it is performed in a highly skilled and meticulous fashion. Incisions are made in one of three places: around the areola, the armpits, or underneath the breasts. Saline or silicone implants are then placed either under the muscle or under the breasts to give the patient their desired look and feel.

Being that roughly 300,000 American women undergo breast augmentations each year, it is the most popular cosmetic surgical procedure in America.

Each patient has different aesthetic goals but a breast augmentation resulting in a beautiful contour, comfort, and a natural look are all common desires. The Upside to an Upturned Nose (Non-Surgical Rhinoplasty with GabsGetGnarly)

Non-Surgical Rhinoplasty has surely become one of the most sought after procedures in Dr. Devgan’s office. Often the office is asked about downtime, well there is none or it is negligible. The concept is immediately intriguing to anyone who wishes to have something changed about their nose.

We were thrilled that we can share Gabs Dormio’s experience with everyone from start to finish. Gabs, a travel blogger and commonly known for her GabsGetGnarly page on Instagram, was such a joy to have in our office again and we could not be more pleased that she loved her results.

For those of you who wonder what some reasons are for non-surgical as opposed to surgical, there are a few. For Gabs, it was all about how she wanted a more refined look and to try out what her nose would look like before even considering surgical. For others, the downtime for surgical rhinoplasty, which consists of a few days off work, a few weeks off exercise, bruising, and swelling, is not an option. This is why using a viscous filler to create your perfect look is an excellent choice for a lot of patients.

There is some qualities to remember about non-surgical, the results last 1-2 years before your body will have naturally dissolved the filler. Thus, if you enjoy the look of your nose prior to injection, you will need to have the non-surgical rhinoplasty more frequently. It was also commented that in one of Gabs photos, the “hanging columella from the lateral aspect” was more prominent than before.
