Dr. Devgan Received Top Aesthetic Doctor in the nation by Aesthetic Everything

Yesterday evening the Aesthetic Everything Awards 2017 were announced. Dr. Lara Devgan was the recipient of two Diamond Crystal Awards. She was a winner in the Top Aesthetic Doctor category and Top Plastic Surgeons East Coast. Dr. Devgan was honored to receive the awards as many highly regarded physicians in board-certified plastic surgery and other specialties submit entries, with evidence, each year to compete.

The committee selects the winners of Diamond Crystal Awards in nearly forty categories. The highest honor is to be named to the Top Aesthetic Doctor list, which is comprised of fifty physicians in a range of specialties. The award is based on submissions to a committee who select the winners after careful consideration; then, proceeds to rank the recipients in numerical order.

The second award Dr. Devgan received was in the Diamond Crystal Award category of Top Plastic Surgeons East Coast. The Top Plastic Surgeon category is sub-categorized into best plastic surgeons based on region (East, West, and Middle America). Each subcategory consists of ten doctors who, by year, are considered to have the best overall patient results in both body and facial plastic surgery. This particular category is a stirring win because of its specificity to Dr. Devgan’s specialty.

Now that the winners have been announced, the Everything Aesthetic webpage will be updated to show the latest award recipients. The 2017 Diamond Crystal Award results will soon be made available to the public via the Everything Aesthetic website (please see the link at the end of this post).

Every Patient is Unique: Dr. Devgan provides perspective on treating young patients

This month, Dr. Devgan gave her standpoint to the Observer on minors consulting for plastic surgery procedures. She states in the article, “There are young patients for whom the right answer will be not to have surgery, but there are also those who would be excellent candidates.” 

Not all patients have the same needs or desires. With parental consent and careful examination processes, plastic surgery may be an option for minors or young adult patients. With Dr. Devgan’s mindset, she has had “an incredibly busy summer, starting in June.”

Dr. Devgan typically has surgeries scheduled well in advance; however, there are always phone calls coming late in the summer before the onset of school. Many of her patients, from all ages, are hoping for quick recovery. Dr. Devgan states in the Observer article that she will do,”…everything [she] can to accommodate them.” Some of the most sought-after procedures by young women in Dr. Devgan’s practice are breast augmentation, rhinoplasty (both surgical and non-surgical), and labiaplasty.

Recently, Dr. Devgan was inquired, along with other top board-certified plastic surgeons, to give her guidance on how to rid ankle fat deposits, more commonly known as “cankles”. Ankles, as Dr. Devgan states in the article, “…are prone to fat depositions…” Dr. Devgan believes, “Most of the time, cankles are not related to obesity or being overweight.” Rather, “…genetic tendencies and body type…” are often causes of fat deposits in the ankles. Unfortunately, this means ankles can also be resistant to change even with consistent diet and exercise. Dr. Devgan believes that liposculpture is the best procedure for lasting results while ensuring tissue differentiation.”

Liposculpture is a cosmetic procedure using a tool known as cannula. A cannula is a stainless steel tool that extracts fat deposits in a variety of procedures. New Images of Dr. Devgan's Upper East Side Office

Dr. Devgan has officially opened her new office in the upper East Side of New York City on Park Avenue. Here, she has a private office in which there are three patient rooms, a fully-equipped operating room, a waiting area, a checkout area, and plenty of eye-catching artwork throughout. 

Dr. Devgan's office is located at 969 Park Avenue in Suite 1G. This is the first week in which she is seeing patients at her new location. The office space is private, quiet, and patients are enjoying the new aesthetic.
