Dr. Devgan is Featured in Harper's Bazaar

This week, Dr. Devgan was featured in an article in Harper's Bazaar. The article entitled, "How To Get Bigger Lips," features Dr. Devgan as an expert in plastic surgery and aesthetics.

The focus of the article was giving the readers advice and options on how to get a fuller, and more pouty-looking lips.

Many are aware that full, voluptuous lips are the new trend due to factors such as social media trends and celebrity inspirations. According to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, more than twenty-eight thousand lip augmentations were performed in the United States in 2016 and the number has since increased greatly.

Thankfully, there are new, innovative solutions in order to get a full, pouty look if you have smaller lips naturally. 

In this article, Dr. Devgan states her specific recommendations for lip fillers, Dr. Devgan states, “All of the fillers I recommend for lips are based on hyaluronic acid (HA), which is the major component of the body's own collagen. " Dr. Devgan explains the concept of hyaluronic acid further; “This means that they have biologic characteristics that look and feel more natural. It also means that they are fully dissolvable, which is an excellent feature for patient safety.”

Certain fillers, such as Volbella, Juvederm, Restylane, and Belotero, are all based on the substance Hyaluronic Acid. Dr. Devgan explains the difference between these fillers and how she chooses which one to use depending on her patient's desired results. “My choice of fillers depends on a patient's unique anatomic characteristics, as well as their desired results, but roughly speaking, the ones I use most often are Volbella for a subtle result, Belotero for a moderate result, and Restylane Refyne for a full result."

Dr. Devgan was featured in online health and wellness magazine, Mind Body Green, as well as French physical wellness magazine, Santé Magazine. In both articles, Dr. Devgan is a featured plastic surgeon, offering her opinion and expertise on breast augmentations and the effect they have on breast feeding.

Dr. Devgan performs breast augmentation (breast enlargement, or breast implant surgery) with both saline and silicone implants. Incisions for breast implants are hidden either underneath the breast, around the areola, or in the armpit.  Implants are placed either under the muscle or under the breast. Dr. Devgan performs a signature rapid-recovery, no-touch technique. This keeps incision scars very minimal with a rapid recovery time. Dr. Devgan's no-touch technique also is the best way to avoid any chance of infection. Dr. Devgan's no-touch technique helps keep the implants clean and disinfected before entering the breast. 

By one month after surgery, the vast majority of patients say they feel "back to normal." Bruising, discomfort and most swelling has disappeared. The breasts will still continue to "settle" into their final position over the course of the next few months, and a tiny bit of additional swelling will go away, but one month is when most women really feel normal again.

This past week, Dr. Devgan was featured in an article on Pnina Tornai's blog called, Confidently You. In this article, bridal gown designer and designer of all dresses on TLC show, Say Yes to the Dress,  Pnina Tornai discusses which procedures performed by Dr. Devgan can be most useful for brides-to-be.
