The Double Chin Dilemma: Dr. Devgan featured on BeachBody.com

There are thousands of people who are self-conscious about the so-called ‘double-chin.’ A double-chin occurs when there is excess fat surrounding the lower third of the face and neck area. When this fat accumulates, it creates the look of a double-chin, especially when looking at a downward angle or from a side profile.

In BeachBody article written by Adam Bible, Dr. Devgan explains the specifics of a double-chin and the different options available for those who seek to reduce it. There are three main ways to address a double chin, or accumulation of excess fat of the neck: Kybella (injection of deoxycholic acid to permanently dissolve fat), submental liposuction (a minimally invasive surgery to suction out excess fat), and surgical neck lift (a larger surgery that addresses excess skin as well as excess fat).

Dr. Devgan explains that “The single most common reason for someone to have a double chin is a genetic predisposition to storing fat in the submentum, or the area under the chin. This means that a person’s age, weight, and physique matter less than his or her genetic tendencies.”

Many patients that come into my office in New York City seek a quick way to achieve voluptuous lips. I perform thousands of lip augmentation procedures using lip fillers to create more volume in the lips for natural plumpness. Dr. Devgan's Non-Surgical Nose Job featured by Fashion Blogger

For a natural transformation of the nose with no downtime, non-surgical rhinoplasty (sometimes colloquially referred to as "non-surgical nose job") can be an excellent option. My beautiful patient, Lael Aryn, received a nonsurgical rhinoplasty and described her experience on her personal blog. 

A nonsurgical rhinoplasty is a procedure that uses fillers such as Juvederm, Restylane, and others for a non-operative nose correction. The type of filler depends on the patient's anatomic characteristics and desired results.

Non-surgical rhinoplasty takes a few minutes, lasts 1-2 years, and has no associated time off from work or social functions. Although my practice is based in New York City, I see patients from all over the country and world for this procedure. As a board-certified plastic surgeon who is capable of traditional surgical rhinoplasty as well, I feel qualified to offer my patients an unbiased approach that is best for their unique circumstances.
