Dr. Juergen Frevert, Head of Botulinum Toxin Research at Merz Pharmaceuticals

Dr. Frevert studied chemistry at the Philipps-University, Marburg (Germany) where he got his PhD in biochemistry. In his thesis work, he investigated the biosynthesis of plant organelles and enzymes of fatty acid metabolism. After a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of California, Berkeley (USA), he started his career in 1983 at the Battelle Institute in Frankfurt (Germany). Between 1995 and 2006, Dr. Frevert was Project Manager for biochemical projects and later Chief Scientific Officer of BioteCon Therapeutics GmbH, and during this time he started a cooperation with Merz Pharmaceuticals to develop the pure clostridium botulinum neurotoxin as a pharmaceutical which was licensed as Xeomin in 2005 in Germany for the treatment of cervical dystonia and blepharospasm and in 2009 for the treatment of glabellar frown lines.  In 2007 he was employed by Merz Pharmaceuticals as Head of Botulinum Toxin Research and was responsible for the development of next generation botulinum toxin products with new pharmacological properties. In 2017 he retired and is now working as a consultant for Merz Pharmaceuticals. 

Jennifer Zuccarini, founder of chic lingerie brand Fleur du Mal

Jennifer Zuccarini is the founder and designer of lingerie and ready-to-wear brand Fleur du Mal. She studied Fine Arts in Montreal, after which she completed another degree in Fashion Design at Fashion Institute of Technology. She launched Fleur du Mal in 2012 with the goal to change the way women approach lingerie by creating pieces that can be worn every day. You can shop her collection at top retailers, including Neiman Marcus, Net-A-Porter, Barney’s, and Shopbop. She is also the former design director of Victoria’s Secret and the co-founder of Kiki de Montparnasse. In 2017, Fleur de Mal opened a boutique in SOHO, New York City.

Her career began in finance as a private equity investor at Apax Partners and an investment banking analyst at Goldman, Sachs & Co.

Sarah Larson Levey, Co-founder and CEO of Y7 Studio

Sarah Larson Levey is the Founder and CEO of New York-based Y7 Studio. She is an innovator, entrepreneur, 200-hour registered yoga instructor, author, and certified Health Coach. After working in Fashion for five years, Levey launched Y7 at 26 as an answer to her personal desire for something other than the (very) traditional yoga practices offered.
